Clean Drinking Water for a Remote African Community

“Hydro Mechanical Services Ltd has donated a Grundfos bore hole pump; which has to day been shipped over to a remote community in Zambia’sCopperbelt region on the Congo border. The community where the pump is destined currently has no access to clean water.

The new bore hole pump will provide clean drinking water for the community, pumping it from 40 metres below the surface to a water storage holding tank 8 metres above the ground. Water will then be drawn off from the storage tank as required.

The church community from Sutton Coldfield’s Falcon Lodge Chapel in particular Mr John Abbott and Duke Street Chapel’s Mr Nigel Crowther have been instrumental in the organisation and shipment arrangements. Both John and Nigel have been to the community providing practical help. Future visits are planned.

The Directors of Hydro are pleased to be to be associated with this worthwhile cause.”
